What Is Digital Burnout? (And How to Avoid It)

Have you been exhausted lately? Maybe you feel like you’re not yourself, but you can’t really figure out why. Have you spent too much time on your smartphone? Then you might have what’s been called Digital Burnout.

This fairly new term means you’re spending way too much time on your phone. As you probably already know, extended amounts of time using your smartphone can negatively affect your life in many different ways, especially mentally — and there are research studies that back this up.

iOS 18.4 Coming Next Week | Here’s What to Expect

With iOS 18.4 expected to arrive in April, Apple has just given us a good hint that it will be coming sooner in the month than we expected. Today, the company pushed out the final Release Candidate (RC) build of iOS 18.4, typically the final “beta” version sent to developers and public testers before a public release.

In the world of Apple software updates, RC builds are typically distributed about a week before being released to the public. As the name implies, a Release Candidate isn’t technically a beta version of the software but rather what Apple hopes will be the same thing everyone else eventually gets. Developers and public beta testers just get an earlier release to ensure there aren’t any show-stopping bugs before it’s unleashed on the world

You Can Change the Default Apps on Your iPhone. Here's How

Apple is preparing to release iOS 18.4 in April, and that update will likely bring more emoji and a new food section to Apple News. But when Apple released iOS 18.2 in December, that update made it easier to change your iPhone's default apps.

M4 MacBook Air Review (13-Inch, 2025): Still My Go-To MacBook Recommendation

What continues to amaze me about the M-series MacBook Airs is that they crank out high-level performance and long battery life, yet the body is completely fanless. What's even more incredible is that the performance gets better year after year. So, while not too much has changed from the last-gen M3 MacBook Air, for the M4 Air, you'll still get a lot of computing power and upwards of 15 hours of battery life in a thin, light and quiet body making it one of the best laptops of 2025. And now it comes in a light metallic blue.

9 Helpful Health Features You Didn't Know Exist on the Apple Watch

If you own an Apple Watch, you know how many helpful features are packed into such a small, wrist-based device. You can utilize and upgrade your watch in numerous ways, especially regarding the included health features. Between all the different health apps and notifications that are available, your Apple Watch can help you get a better idea of your overall health, what to talk to your doctor about and any lifestyle changes you may want to make.

How to Write in Cursive on iPhone

Writing in cursive is more than just a skill; it’s an art form that adds a personal, elegant touch to your notes, letters, and even creative projects. I often see cursive writing in social media posts, where it’s used to add a stylish and creative flair to captions or images. If you’ve ever wondered how they’re doing it, you’re in the right place. With the iPhone’s advanced features, you can easily bring cursive writing to life—no need for additional tools like an Apple Pencil or third-party apps.

Buying An iPad? Here Are The Key Differences Between Models

An Apple iPad can be a great investment: You get a screen that’s bigger than an iPhone’s for watching videos or reading, it’s more portable than a laptop and it can be used for drawing, writing, internet surfing and so much more. The downside? The tablets don’t come cheap, and with Apple releasing so many models it can be confusing to figure out which one best fits your needs.

10 Ways to Stop Doomscrolling on Your iPhone

Social media apps use algorithms that try to feed us more of the type of content that we've previously consumed, to keep us on them for as long as possible. Unfortunately, this means that if you read one depressing news story or post, you're likely to see another pop up.

Before you know it, you've wasted hours scrolling through the most depressing posts, causing yourself anxiety and stress in a phenomenon known as doomscrolling. If you're stuck in a cycle of doomscrolling, there are some things you can try to help you to stop.

Hate the new Mail app on your iPhone? Here’s how to change it back

Among the less-publicized features introduced late last year in iOS 18.2 is a massive change to the Mail app. For longtime users of the Mail app, it was a shock to the system and definitely takes some getting used to. But if that hasn’t happened, there’s good news—you can change it back to the old way.

Your Apple Watch Has a Simple Yet Useful Feature You Probably Didn’t Know About

You likely take screenshots on your iPhone and Mac all the time. It’s a quick and dirty way to document things like emails, error messages or photos. That way, you can reference them later or use them to help someone — or them help you — resolve an issue.

You probably don’t take as many screenshots on your Apple Watch — or maybe you didn’t know you could. But you can, and, like on other devices, taking screenshots on your Apple Watch is an easy way to capture notifications, workout information, or just the look of specific watch faces.
