How to clear cache on iPhone and iPad

Knowing how to clear cache on iPhone and iPad is a nifty little skill that'll come in handy when your storage space is dwindling and your device has slowed down.

While there could certainly be a problem with the device itself if you're experiencing either of those problems, more often than not, clearing your cache, history, cookies, or other temporary data from your apps will be enough to get you back up and running again.

Apple introduced the first 9.7-inch iPad in January 2010 as an intermediary device between the Mac and the iPhone. While there was a time when iPads were used just to quieten children throwing tantrums by playing nursery rhymes on YouTube Kids, that time is long gone.

Apple turning AirPods into hearing aids underscores effort to crack massive health market

Soon, people with AirPods in their ears might not be drowning you out — they might be wearing them to hear you better.

Apple announced on Monday that its AirPods Pro 2 headphones will become an FDA-cleared hearing aid in the coming weeks through a software update. That means that adults with mild or moderate hearing loss — about 30 million Americans, according to the Food and Drug Administration — will be able to use Apple earphones to amplify specific sounds they want to hear better.

Although Apple was quick to point out that all four iPhone 16 models are “built for Apple Intelligence from the ground up,” these powerful new AI features won’t be available right out of the gate. The first set of Apple Intelligence features won’t arrive until sometime next month, but many of the more exciting features are even farther away on the horizon.

Google Photos gets an Apple Intelligence-inspired update to help you find your favorite snaps

Google is rolling out an AI feature for its Photos app, enabling users to search for photos in their libraries using the Gemini AI assistant.

Currently available as a test for some U.S. users, 'Ask Photos' allows conversational language to be used in order to find photos. In a blog post, Google explained how this feature works. "You can search for specific photos in a natural, descriptive way, like “Alice and me laughing,” “Kayaking on a lake surrounded by mountains” or “Emma painting in the backyard.”  But 'Ask Photos' goes further, with the ability to group photos into shared albums and more. "You can ask for suggestions for the best photos from your birthday party for a shared album or for help summarizing the top things you did on your recent trip to share with a friend."
